Happy Easter!

What a great Easter weekend.... Allie Beth was so excited that the Easter Bunny came to visit.

Our tradition of hunting Hershey Kisses around the house that the Easter Bunny left. I won this year!
Great Grandma with all her Great Grandkids...missing three.

Due to rain, the egg hunt was in the house.

Dad always falls asleep. Poor guy. He works so much that he falls asleep as soon as he sits down.

 Whitney followed....

Allie was determined to get Trenden to sit still.

 Cute cousins.

I think Allie was "pictured out"

Easter Egg Hunt

We went to visit Mimi before we went to the Egg Hunt because she called and had a surprise for Allie. Allie was thrilled to get her new Easter basket filled with goodies. She was able to use it for the egg hunt as well.

The only way I could get Allie to get near the Easter Bunny was to have her buddy, Ellie, get up there with her. She still was not thrilled about it.  Ellie cracked me up, though. She was as happy as could be.

This is Peyton White. She was Allie's first babysitter--other than our family. Danny and I both taught with her mom at Simmons Middle. She is one of the best kids you'll ever meet, and it was fun to run into her. There were a number of "Hoover Belles" around to welcome everyone.

Palm Sunday

Every year, our church celebrates Palm Sunday with the kids.  They distribute palm leaves to any kid who wants to walk down the aisles. Allie Beth kept saying she wanted to do it, but she never made it down the aisle. I think it was all the people. (Side note: I'm PRAYING she doesn't do this at Whitney's wedding!!) It was a fun idea, though, and maybe she'll do it next year. They also have a donkey that comes every year.

Zoo

Allie Beth and I had a great time visiting with Courtney and Hannah Mae when they came to town! It was a very short trip, but we enjoyed the time we had together at the zoo. Thanks, Courtney, for coming up for the afternoon. I think they were in the car more than they were here! However, we had to get another visit in before Baby Girl #2 arrives! It was great to see them, and it made me miss my old roomie more and more! I'm thankful that Courtney is only two hours away during this phase in our lives, but I wish we were in the same town again.

I've never seen him eating before. Very fun for the girls to see.
We could NOT get them to look at the camera!

They were too cute being lions!
