Allie Beth and I took the drive to Cartersville, GA, to enjoy a weekend with my dear friend, Rachel. Other than the migraine that hit me on Saturday morning and lasted all day, we had a fabulous time. Thanks, Rachel, for allowing us to come, taking time for a photo shoot, and playing with Allie Beth all weekend. Here are a couple snapshots from the photoshoot. I really can't pick out my favorite! There are too many good ones! :) Some of these are my favorites, and there are others that I just picked out
We had a great time watching football, spending time playing on her swingset, going to the park, picking cotton, enjoying the art show, getting Allie's face painted, eating ice cream, and just relaxing at the house.

Princess Allie
Allie loves dressing up in her new princess outfits! It's hard to get a picture of her when she's dressed up because she's twirling around the room. I finally got a really cute one. Here's my little princess.
I love her.
I love her.
From the Mouth of Babes
While playing at her cousin's house, Kendan was crawling in my lap.
Allie yells: "No, No...My Mommy!!"
Mommy: It's okay, Allie. He's just sitting in my lap.
Allie: "No. My Mommy!"
Danny: Allie, it's time to take a bath.
Allie: In 4 minutes
Danny: Okay, 2 minutes
Allie: 3 minutes
Allie: This is Mommy's house.
Mommy: Yes, this is Mommy's house, Allie's house, and Daddy's house.
Allie: This not Daddy's house.
Mommy: Where's Daddy's house?
Allie: At the gas station. (He goes there all the time for his fix on caffeine)
Melt my Heart Moments:
1. After beginning the first day of school, I picked Allie up and gave her some milk before her nap. While drinking, she stopped, looked at me, and said, "Mommy, I missed you."
2. At dinner, we were sitting down as a family, and Allie Beth suddenly said, "I love you, Mommy."
3. We were driving to the library, and she starts saying, "I miss Daddy." I replied, "Daddy is at school. He will be home soon." She replied, "I call Daddy. I tell Daddy, 'I love you.'"

Happy 2nd Birthday, Allie Beth!
We had a great time at Allie Beth's second birthday party! The kids had a blast playing in the gym at Green Valley Baptist. Allie picked out all the decorations and theme (Dora), and she has talked about it DAILY for all of August! I'm relieved that it went well. She was spoiled rotten, and she played for hours when we returned home with all of her gifts. It also took me hours to figure out where to put all the new toys. :) I guess it's time to take out all the baby toys. :( My little girl is growing up....
Happy Birthday, Allie Beth. We hope you enjoyed your party as much as you were looking forward to it. Thank you to all those who came to celebrate with us and your generous gifts. We are all beyond blessed.

First Day of School
Allie was so excited to start 2K today! She went right into the room and didn't even look back. She wouldn't hug me bye, and she started playing right away. I guess she was better with going than I was. :) Here's a picture of all of us before we walked out the door this morning for all of our "First Days." :)
