A sickly and busy March

March was insanely crazy! Not only was Allie sick with the stomach bug and throwing up (which she got from the doctor when I took her for her 18-month checkup), but she also came down with pink eye (again, from the doctor office when I took her back for the stomach bug).  Lesson for the month: don't take well children to the doctor office because they'll come home with something!!! Well, Allie's sickness led to Danny being sick...then Danny with pink eye...then I was sick and ended up in the ER.  Not a fun three weeks!! Here are some pictures of my poor, little girl. It started in her left eye and moved to the right within a couple days.

Allie's new thing is to look for the moon every night.  She will talk about it when she wakes up and before she goes to bed. If I can't find it, she'll say, "Moon hiding. Daddy see moon." Meaning, you can't see it, mommy, but Danny will find it. :) Here they are looking for the moon.

We had spring break a couple weeks ago.  After FAILING at potty training, we decided to go back to diapers and get out of the house. We went an hour north to Noccalula Falls. Allie loved it because she could ride the train and feed the animals.

Sara and Kris bought a new house this month. So, we've been busy playing with Krislyn and Kendan. So, we went to feed ducks at the lake around the corner.  I also decided to take Krislyn and Allie to the zoo after work one day because Sara needed to unpack and get some things done. They've had a great time playing this week. (It's impossible to get a good picture of both of them together. And, Allie looks way too big in these pictures! :( )

Allie had a fall at Krislyn's house, so we had to put bandades on her knees. She wouldn't do it unless Daddy did it first. She's talked about her "booboo" all week!! The girl is just like me when it comes to having pain.

I come out of the bathroom from getting ready for work, and I see this girlie girl playing with my high-heeled shoes, jewelry, and headband. She's so funny.

What a crazy March! We are so glad all the sickness is over!! And, we are thankful that this little girl keeps us on our toes. We love you, Allie Beth.

Here Comes the Bride

Brittany Lin Freeman is now Brittany Freeman Lindsey. I can't believe it. The little girl has grown up and is now a wife.  This means that my baby sister, Whitney, is old enough to be getting married. Wow. I feel old. :) Brittany was a beautiful bride!! The wedding was perfect and so was the reception.  Brittany was disappointed with the stormy weather, but it didn't deter anyone from having fun.  Most of the pictures that we took were on my mother's camera, but these are the ones that I have now.

Danny and I decided to get our first babysitter for Allie. We also realized how blessed we are to have our parents watch Allie when we need them. Babysitters are EXPENSIVE! But, it was really nice to have a night out.

18-month, little girl

We had a great month! My sweet Allie Beth turned 18 months this week, and I just can't believe it. We have "pay bows" (play with bowls), "pay Aaee toy" (play with Allie's toys), gone to get "i seem" (ice cream), read books in the yard, played at the park, and so much more. I hope she's enjoyed herself; mommy is worn out! :)

Danny gave Allie a "boon" and "fower" for Valentines. She still walks around with the balloon...weeks later.  I think Danny is still half asleep in this picture. :)

I got the camera out to take on the bus ride.  Allie started smiling and saying "Cheese," so I had to take this cute picture. She's too cute.

We are riding a school bus from Homewood (my work) to Edgewood Creamery.  She had SOOO much fun standing up rather than being in a carseat. You can't tell from the look on her face, but she had a blast.

It's been such a warm February. It was about 80 this week, so we decided we'd go outside and read. Here, I'm reading her favorite book: "pincess book" She loves her princess book!!! I think Danny and I have memorized the stories. Danny wants to buy another princess book because he's tired of reading the same stories every day!

House for Sale

We have decided to put our house on the market. It's been three weeks, and we've only had one person look at it. So, I have a feeling that this is going to be a long process. With the mortgage rates the way they are, we were hoping to get a little bigger house for the same price. We're also hoping for less stairs! I can't handle following down them again, and Allie is constantly wanting to go up and down. We'll see what happens. But, I wanted to document our first home. I love this home and will miss it tremendously if/when we move.

A little bit of Everything

It's been a busy month. Allie is growing like a weed! I just can't believe how big she's getting and how grown up she's becoming. She is talking up a storm and just about into everything! In the mornings, she must watch her "K-Toons" If she doesn't get to see at least one show, she is very irritable and wines saying that she wants to watch them. She now knows how to turn on the tv, so I will catch her turning the cartoons on even if I don't want her watching. She's a sneaky little girl. :)

Allie is fascinated with the cat that wanders around the neighborhood. In all honesty, I hate cats. I was traumatized as a child by a cat, and I've never liked them since.  So, Allie can admire the cat through the window; I will not let her touch it! Everytime she sees a picture of a cat in her book, she says, "Cat Meow," and points outside.  She loves the neighborhood cat, and I'm glad she can enjoy it from afar. :)

Allie's new love is her sunglasses. She can't get enough. She walks around all day with them on--even in the house. She has learned to show possession. She says, "Mommy's _____, Daddy's ______, or Allie's ______" to just about anything. She loves "Allie's gasses" and prefers her pink ones over the white. We're definitely in trouble with this little girl. She loves bling and shoes!!

Another past-time is playing with "Allie's car." She, of course, has forgotten that the car was actually Krislyn's Christmas present! She's constantly asking, "Mimi. Papa. Car. Pees?" Translated: Can I go to Mimi and Papa's house to ride in the car, please? This happens at least once a day.  In fact, we're going this afternoon to ride in it when she wakes up from her nap. Here, Krislyn and Allie are washing the car because Krislyn got a gift from Grandma VanderBroek for her birthday to wash the car.  They enjoyed it.  If I can keep Allie from arguing with Krislyn about who's driving the car, they would have much more fun! :) They truly act like sisters.

We've also made a trip to the zoo, many trips to Walmart, visits to see Daddy, school, trips to the park, and so much more. If I can keep her sleeping in and eating well, I'll be one happy mommy. She really is the joy of our lives. We love you, Allie Beth. Always.
